Wonderful ride in the park. Safe, green, quiet, and a bit scenic.
We camped at the county fairgrounds in Rickreall and rode into Monmouth to visit college haunts. An enjoyable day.
It’s a smooth path for the most part. It has a little bit of cracks and sometimes branches. There is a couple tents from the homeless at the beginning of the path, I’ve never had a problem so far but it’s a pretty good spot otherwise
Lovely trail but very busy for a Wednesday. App helps see where you are as many twists and turns.
This paved path has great signage, as long as you know which parking lot you parked in. It would be really hard to get lost. Families and friendly people on the way. Cell service not great there, so plan ahead. 5 parking areas that I counted and some porta potties. I'll be back!
Loved the variety of trails and places to wander off into, not just totally straight paths. Rode by a dog park. But a couple days ago there was a cougar sighting, so we only biked for 4 miles. Would like to try it again.
A railroad bridge, converted to a pedestrian and bike bridge, connect Riverfront Park, on the east side of the Willamette River to Wallace Marine Park on the west side.
Thanks to the bridge, the paved trails that wind through Riverfront Park connect to the trails and softball fields of Wallace Marine Park, and on to the streets of West Salem.
This trail's well-maintained, paved trails, and riverside location make it a popular destination.
